David Elkayam, M.D. – Board Certified In Allergy and Immunology and Pediatrics

Dr. Elkayam is board certified in Allergy and Immunology and Pediatrics. He is a graduate of the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Dr. Elkayam served as Chief Resident at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and acquired his fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the National Jewish Medical and Research Center (now known as NJH) in Denver, Colorado.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Martha Serven, PA-C – Nationally Certified Physician Assistant

Martha PhotoMartha Serven is a Nationally Certified Physician Assistant. She did her undergraduate work at Washington University in St. Louis and her physician assistant training at the Medex Program at the University of Washington in Seattle. She has been with us since April 2000, and has over 12 years experience in Family Medicine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lisa Drinkwater, PA-C – National Certified Physician Assistant

She did her undergraduate work at Western Washington University and physician assistant training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Lisa had worked 6 years in Family Medicine in the greater Seattle area until joining us in February 2004.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Andrew Parker, MD

A native of Maine, Dr. Parker attended medical school at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center / Harvard Medical School in Boston. From there, he traveled to Seattle to complete his specialty training in Allergy/Immunology at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital. He enjoys practicing both pediatric and adult allergy and immunology care. When not taking care of patients, Dr. Parker enjoys outdoor adventures and exploring new places.

To date, we have the distinction of having the only certified asthma educators in Whatcom County. This title (AE-C) means they have passed the Asthma 401 Asthma Educator’s Certification Examination after attending an eight-week teleclass in asthma theory and related teaching topics.

Our research department staff has attended the Clinical Research Coordinator Certification course (CCRC), a process by which the Association of Clinical Research Professionals validates, by predetermined standards, an individual’s qualification and knowledge based on current policies and procedures surrounding the Clinical Trials industry: FDA regulations and Good Clinical Practices.

Our front office coordinator is a Certified Professional Coder (CPC). A Certified Professional Coder has passed a coding certification examination sponsored by the American Academy of Professional Coders. This individual has achieved a certain level of knowledge and expertise in coding of services, procedures and diagnoses for physician practices.
